Now here is TV worth watching…two of my heroes making shrink pots. I checked, and apparently The Woodwright’s Shop is not number one in the TV ratings — a mystery that may help explain my difficulty relating to the wider world! Well, it’s number one in the hearts of a lot of other folks. After all, The Woodwright’s Shop is now in it’s 36th season!
If this episode fires you up to make a few of your own and you want to read a little more about them, I’ve written a few posts about shrink pots including this one discussing some methods. Here are a few more. I hope you get to make some shavings this weekend!
that camera crew is amazing. they see one dry run, then they shoot it. and it’s done, and they get all the details. great crew.
They must be. One shot, no editing, just one of the things that makes the show so special. You and Roy have a great chemistry.
I love that show. I have a book by him too. 😉
I hope you don’t stop at just one of his books. My copies are dog-eared and a bit tattered — so, getting better over the years.

I will try to find others. I wonder if Amazon would carry them?
I find woodworking very relaxing.
I like to know how to work without electricity too sometimes and old tools.. I love the old school ways. I used to do a lot of woodworking. And did marquetry, woodcarving and chainsaw carving. And yes, i’m a woman too. 😉
I miss all that.
